Decree on Customs Procedure

Amendments to the Decree on Customs Procedure were enacted by the Serbian Government on April 09, 2009

Under the amendments to the Decree on Customs Procedure, enacted by the Serbian Government on April 09, 2009, it is set forth that representative offices of foreign companies in the Republic of Serbia will no longer be exempt  from customs procedure related to the temporary import of equipment to Serbia (equipment to be used by the representative office that includes, inter alia, cars, computers, other equipment, etc.).

In accordance with these amendments all representative offices in Serbia are required to either import (settle customs and VAT) or export any temporarily imported goods to Serbia within three months as of the effective date of the amendments, i.e. April 21, 2009.
