We have a wide-ranging energy practice that handles both regulatory and transactional matters. Prica & Partners represents international enterprises with different interests in the energy industry, for example oil and gas producing companies, project developers, equipment manufacturers, major construction companies, power traders and financial institutions. From obtaining licenses and permits to structuring ownership relations, our specialized lawyers have advised clients on every aspect of energy project development and finance.
We have been engaged for work pertaining to energy license for wholesale distribution of electrical power in Serbia which included incorporation of a local subsidiary and preparation and submission of energy license application to the Energy Agency of Serbia and review of standard trading agreements. Following the successful procurement of the license and the incorporation of a local subsidiary, our office has been involved in dealing with the variety of legal issues that arise in the energy industry. These involve antitrust and competition, land use, project finance and many others.
Our experience includes obtaining licenses for the trading of electricity including preparation of documents and contacts with the relevant authorities, in this instance the Ministry of Energy and Mining. The same authority deals with issuance of permits for construction/reconstruction of facilities for production of electricity which are required for facilities of more than 1 Megawatt.
We regularly represent clients involved in electric generation, transmission and transportation, marketing and trading of gas and electricity. We negotiate and draft complex agreements for electricity and gas sales and purchases.
Our clients include Gazprom Neft, Russia, E.ON Kraftwerke GmbH, Germany and their subsidiary E.ON Sales & Trading Srbija d.o.o., Atel Energy AG, Switzerland and their subsidiary in Serbia Atel Energija d.o.o., EFET (European Federation of Energy Traders), Eurosteel Italia S.r.l., INTER RAO UES, Russia.
